How do you think it is possible for you to check your exam results? It is because of the Computers & Internet. It means multiple computers are interconnected to each other for transfer of data between them.

Your results are hosted on a Web Server in the University. This Server is connected to the Internet and the ISP provides a Static IP address to it. For access of data on this Server from around the world, a domain name is registered with a Domain Registrar. The IP Address of the computer is provided to this registrar. In turn, this registrar redirects a user to the University Server. The results website is hosted locally on the server.

We call the Website along with its server as a Virtual Estate. Hotmail.com was sold for 500 Million Dollars to Microsoft. In reality Microsoft actually bought a bunch of Computers with all its data. Supposedly, Hotmail didn't receive the millions of visitors which it receives every month, then it would have been worthless. Owning a high traffic website is equivalent to owning a property in a commercial area where thousands of people visit every day.
